Cable Wars Heat Up
Comcast has had a monopoly on cable in this area for years. From their years as Garden State Cable to their present incarnation, they've had free will to raise rates as they've seen fit.
Things just may change. The NJ legislature is taking up the debate as we speak and options may become available.
The American way is competition--competition lowers prices and increases options. Cable--like Major League Baseball, but I digress--has not played by the rules that other industries have. When you think of Home Depot, you think of Lowes, if you talk of Wal Mart, you have a Target. You think of Comcast and you have...well, nothing else.

Every town in Nj deserves the right to decide if they want Verizon, Comcast or satellite. I'm honestly happy with the product Comcast offers, I'm not happy about the price.
